What Is An American?

                                                                                                                                         1st period.

                                                                    What is an American?

We all consider ourselves as Americans. We were all immigrants once. The only ones that really owned this place were the Native Americans. We all came in next. We’re all the same. There is no one that’s not an American. There are many people that come from many places to be someone in life. They come here for a better future. We all have the same rights.  People come here to get a job, an education and to improve their lives.
To me, an American means that we were born here and that you have pride in being here. As an American, we say the pledge of allegiance. As an American, we have many rights. Some are fair and some just don’t make sense at all. We see many things in this country that have changed throughout all these years. We have seen how people have been treated to the point where violence kicks in. We have seen injustice. As an American, we see many races and therefore, racism. There are many different things that people say or do. We are all the same. We should consider ourselves equal to one another. We are all humans. As an American, we have laws and we have the government. We have the president doing his job and trying to make this country better. We have to be ourselves, and learn what is happening around the world, as a resident living here.
We are all Americans, no matter where he or she was born. Everyone could make this world better. If we could all consider ourselves Americans, then there wouldn’t be any problem between any kind of race. We all make this country The United States of America. We are all one country united. We should all love this country no matter what happens because this is where we were raised and we got used to it and therefore, we should all have pride. We are all Americans, we’re all the same and we all should treat each other equally.

Academic Autobiography.

                                                                                                                                             1st Period.

                                                                Academic Autobiography

My mother had me enrolled into school when I was four years old. I started going to school ever since pre-school. It was since then when I started growing academically. After pre-school, I went on to Magnolia Elementary School. I went to kindergarten all the way to my fifth grade year over there. When I was in fourth grade, I entered orchestra. Music always caught my attention ever since I was small. Ms. Cheleden was my music teacher. I wanted to play violin, but instead she made me play the flute. Since there were no more violins left, she put me into the winds section. I used to struggle in the beginning because I had no idea how to play music. Everyone in the orchestra did. My musical skills would grow and grow each and everyday. By the time I was in the halfway in my fourth grade school year, I was one of the best. I got a scholarship of $250. This was a major step into my musical life, and I knew if I continued to keep up with my music skills, then I could succeed. Therefore, I kept on doing what I loved to do and that was music. During my whole time left in Magnolia, I stayed in orchestra. After two more years of being in Elementary, I culminated from fifth grade. My parents were a big support throughout those years and up to this day they still are.
Once I hit middle school, I had to attend 6 periods each day. After a while, I got used to it. My favorite subjects were math & band. Those were the one of the two classes I wanted to go to all the time. I always had good grades. I passed all of them. Middle school was a good experience and it was preparing me for high school. I went to three different middle schools, but I graduated from John Liecthy middle school. That school was the best because I learned a lot in school.
The years went by so fast. I’m in high school right now. I’m not going to say it was easy to get to this point. It took dedication to get to where I’m at now. I’m good in my credits and in my grades. I feel great to be here where I’m at. I’ve learned so much through all my academic life. I have met a lot of people. I’ve have met a lot of teachers. They’re the reason why we make it so far, as well as our parents. I’m very thankful for my mom and dad because they have always been supporting me to follow my dreams and to never give up. I just want to graduate high school already. I want to be able to start working while I’m going to school. My dream has always been in being the FBI, it’s what I’m aiming for and I’m going to make sure that I reach my goal and never quit. I’ll feel proud after I see myself in a real job and being in a great profession. I see myself going far and being successful all the way. All you have to do is keep trying and focus on your goal.
